I am still not sure that the animation actually adds much to the artwork, but, then, I don’t rely on artwork and certainly don’t buy gaming resources based on artwork. That’s just me. The artwork is well-done I just don’t see it as a huge value-add.
There are plenty of different things in the file that could be popped into a campaign focused on the Knight Vision Creative (KVC) world that would expand the options for both the GM and the players in unexpected ways. The tables for adjusting encounter difficulty based on the player’s party composition are especially helpful for lesser-experienced GM’s who might otherwise struggle to adjust difficulty levels. And they can also help more experienced GM’s to keep their pre-session work less involved and/or tedious – a lot of the tedium has been removed by those tables. The same holds true for the “I Know a Guy” section: what GM doesn’t need to use this sort of mechanic at times; especially when the players pull off something unexpected.
I do have issues with the Divination Sentinels and the Magesmith to the extent that they are cyberpunk based and that does not fit my campaign world at all. That said, they fit the KVC world well and undoubtedly many other campaign worlds as well with little difficulty, if any. And similarly, the Chimera Apex Ranger is exceedingly different and not something that I would find useful. But I have my biases just as anyone else does and YMMV.
And, as with a previous publication, the recipes just seem out of place, and certainly not anything I would use. Undoubtedly many will find them interesting and actually use them. More power to them.
Thanks!
